The Clinical Care Extender internship provides volunteers a great opportunity for hands-on experience at a hospital not too far away from USC. Located in Lynwood, CA, St. Francis Medical Center is a trauma hospital in which interns are allowed to volunteer. Some of the other departments open to interns include surgery, emergency, postpartum, nursery/NICU, and ICU. The CCE Program has a 280 hour requirement but allows interns to rotate through different departments every three months.
