Health Careers Connection Paid Summer Internships for Minority Pre-Health Students

Paid Summer Internships throughout Calif. ( $3-4,000 over 10 weeks internship )

Health Careers Connection ( HCC ) places largely minority pre-health professional students in 10 week full time internships at health facilities throughout California. HCC also conducts workshops and conferences about how to prepare for health professional careers, the application process and health professional schools. The program has been conducted in California for 20 years and last year placed over 75 students at sites all over California.

HCC focuses mainly on students interested in pursuing a Masters in Public Health ( MPH ). Students from any major could have an appropriate background for the dozen or so MPH fields. For example, Business, Sociology, Economics, Political Science and other majors could pursue Healthcare Management or Health Policy. Teachers, Education, Communications and other majors could be appropriate for Health Education. Biology and other majors could pursue Environmental Health or Epidemiology. Students from a wide variety of majors could pursue Community Health. Look over the attached HCC flyer and consider applying for the Summer Internship program.
