The Journal of Global Health Now Accepting Submissions

The Journal of Global Health is now accepting scholarly research papers and editorial pieces for its Spring 2011 issue!

The health and survival of human populations depend on the collective efforts of scientists, public policy makers, medical practitioners, and professionals in many other fields. The dominant global health issues today will require increasingly interdisciplinary approaches to solving them. To date, there is no peer-reviewed journal that seeks to examine issues in epidemiology and global health from an interdisciplinary perspective.

Based at Columbia University, the Journal of Global Health is the first international publication of its kind that seeks to increase awareness of global health issues and propose innovative solutions to these problems through scientific research and academic dialogue. The content of the journal will engage issues that are associated with a wide range of health topics, including biotechnology, environmental health, epidemiology, infectious diseases, microfinance institutions, mHealth/eHealth, public health policy, and sustainable development. We invite the submission of all papers that address behavioral, biological, environmental, political, or socioeconomic factors that affect the health of individuals and populations and also identify ways to improve public health throughout the world.

Until March 14, 2011, we will be accepting:

  • Original Academic Research Papers (2500-3500 words) - Pieces that address a specific area of global health
  • News Editorials (1200 word maximum) - Opinion pieces that analyze a recent development in global health
  • Field notes (2000 word maximum) - Journal-style pieces based on direct work in the field

Pease turn in all submissions www.ghjournal.org/submit by March 14, 2011. If you have any questions, please contact me directly.

All the best,
