Invitation to Invisible Children: The Frontline Tour

The non-profit organization Invisible Children is a social, political, and global movement using the transformative power of a story to change lives. Invisible Children uses film, creativity, and social action to end the use of child soldiers in Joseph Kony's rebel war and restore affected areas (specifically Northern Uganda and the Democratic Republic of Congo) to peace and prosperity. The student organization Invisible Children at USC works to support the non-profit in achieving these goals.

We would like to invite you to join us at our Invisible Children: The Frontline Tour film screening on Wednesday, September 28th, at 7 pm in THH 101. Volunteers will be coming to screen a recent Invisible Children film, The Rescue, and afterwards a Ugandan advocate will tell us her own personal story. There will also be the opportunity to buy Invisible Children merchandise and learn more about how to get involved with the cause.

If you could encourage your students to attend, we would greatly appreciate it! For example, a member of our club could make a brief in-class announcement, or you might consider offering an extra credit assignment associated with the event. Please let us know if any of these options would work for you. Here is a trailer of the film that will be screened, The Rescue. Also, a copy of the event poster is attached to this email, and we have an event page on Facebook.

Thank you so much!

Peace. Love. Invisible Children.
